DITCH THE BINGE FAQ

I want/need to lose weight - should I still get this?

I am not surprised you want to lose weight.
About 90% of my clients do. That’s what got most of us here in the first place! You wanting to lose weight is fine, but this isn’t weight loss focused.

We need to change your relationship to food and your body first and foremost. If you can put weightloss on the backburner for a moment and really focus on changing your relationship to food and your body, then I will say it is a great time for you to start.

I don’t have an eating disorder, is this for me?

The majority of the women that invest in this don’t have a clinical eating disorder but food and weight take up way more time than they want it to. Maybe they identify more as a stress eater or emotional eater instead of a “binge eater”. Or they had more disordered eating in the past and now their relationship to food is simply annoying and they want to spend less time thinking about it.

If you are tired of food/weight occupying your energy, you have tried countless things to resolve this, and you want to change how you take care of yourself- this is for you.

What if it doesn’t work?

A very common fear. And you are fearful because this is different. If I were giving you macros, a meal plan, or a new program to follow that would probably be a little more comfortable, right? This is going to completely change how you view food, how you eat food, how you view your body, and show up for yourself.

It isn’t a “will this work?” kind of thing. This is a shift in how you live.

But also, yes - it will “work”.

I stay in contact with many of the women I worked with 5+ years ago and they are still incredibly satisfied with the work we did together and consider it “life-changing” to this day. They have not gone back to their old ways with food and weight and believe that our time together changed how they will look at food, body, and exercise for their entire life.

How much time do I need to dedicate to this? I am a busy lady!

At least 1 hour a week for our call. Most women I work with are very busy and that may be contributing to your binge eating. A goal will be to help your life feel less chaotic and once you are no longer binge eating you will have more time and space in your day. There isn’t a lot of “sit down” homework, unless you are someone that loves that stuff, then I can give that to you. You will have the online program to listen to but you can do that on the run if you need to or prefer it.
